The Company

Agilisys is one the UK's leading IT services and outsourcing companies operating across the public and private sectors, specialising in local government, travel and tourism, retail financial services and healthcare. The company designs, builds and operates an integrated end-to-end suite of IT and business process services delivering cost-effective shared service platforms. The business supports its clients through a network of offices and centres throughout the UK, Ireland and India, employing over 1,000 staff.

The Challenge

The recruitment team at Agilisys handle up to 600 CV's each week, all of which need to be processed and assessed in order to identify suitable candidates to fill internal vacancies, establish entire project teams and locate specialists for its fee paying clients. Prior to the implementation of the eploy® solution, the company used an Access based system. As it did not offer a CV search facility, this made it difficult to track candidates. In addition, due to the nature of the business with distributed sites in the UK, it was important to provide a way of sharing knowledge across the organisation to safeguard against staff absences and improve the speed and efficiency in co-ordinating activities.

The Solution

eploy® software was specified to address Agilisys' requirements for a high level of secure access and assimilation of information across its regional operations and to provide seamless integration with the Agilisys website giving a consistent and professional interface for users and prospective employees. The system was also chosen as it offers a feature-rich, cost-effective solution that required little pre-requisite knowledge to set-up and manage. In addition, back-office functions could be easily integrated - a requirement lacking in other comparable systems. eploy® also allows candidates and hiring managers to authorise and automate the processing of time sheets.

The Result

Since the introduction of eploy®'s online recruitment software, Agilisys has reduced its reliance on third party recruitment companies, cut recruitment costs and improved business efficiency in finding and hiring permanent and contract staff. The business can now process CV's more effectively saving over 40 days administration time per annum. In addition, eploy®'s system will be extended and provided as an added value recruitment service to Agilisys' existing and new customers.
